According to report reaching OYOGist.com, Arsenal FC have accepted a five-year contract with the 22 year-old Lille OSC sensational centre back, Gabriel Magalhaes. It’s reported that the Brazilian defender, Gabriel Magalhaes favours a transfer to the Emirates Stadium, with fellow outfit, Everton FC dropping out of the race for his signature.
The Italian Serie A giants, SSC Napoli have accepted a fee for Gabriel Magalhaes too, with Lille OSC demanding at the region of £27million, but the Gunners have struck a deal with the Brazil international. However, the Mikel Arteta’s side allegedly don’t have the money to get the deal done at the moment, and need to cash in on players to bring in Gabriel Magalhaes to the North London.
The England duo central backs, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers have reportedly been open to depart from the club to raise funds. The big advantage with the 22 year-old Brazilian sensational central defender, Gabriel Magalhaes is that he is left-footed player, bringing great balance to Arsenal defensive ranks if he eventually make his move to the Emirates Stadium.
The Lille OSC talented defender, Gabriel Magalhaes shined for the French Ligue 1 giants last campaign. The Mikel Arteta’s side know that Gabriel could possibly move to SSC Napoli should they waste time on the deal, so they have to be swift if they’re to raise the money to push Gabriel Magalhaes’s signing ahead of the line.
Arsenal FC having worked so hard on the deal, it would be a shameful to let the Brazil international slip away at the finish line and the focus will at the moment divert to parting ways with Rob Holding, Calum Chambers or other edge players.
