Officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have captured a serving military officer, Lance Corporal Ajayi Kayode and 26 others for supposed web misrepresentation in the Lekki hub of Lagos State.
An announcement by EFCC Spokesman, Dele Oyewale, said in an announcement in Abuja on Monday that Kayode, with administration number NAF18/34732, was captured in his military clothing during an early morning strike at 6B, Fatai Idowu Arobike, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, on Saturday, August 15, 2020, after insight got from concerned individuals from people in general about his supposed inclusion in crimes.
The announcement stated: Kayode, the spear corporal, was captured nearby Kalu Emmanue; Hassan Sunday; Odinaka David Okem; Victor Ochiabuito; Christopher Prince; Victor Ologhu; Alex Aka; Miracle Onyekwere; Habeeb Ayomide; Olakunle Ajeigbu, Rasheed Olanrewaju and Salam Hakeem.
Others are: Adeniran Nurudeen; Opeyemi Ojo Chris; Derrick Moris; Shehu Oluoti; Fuad Akinbayo; Babatunde Idowu; Uzo Igwe Nathaniel; Debowale Adedoyin; Shegun Emmanuel; Godswill Maduchem; Samson Kazeem; Oluwatobi Oluwatoba, Olaitan Ajao and Oyindamola Kareem.
In his announcement, the fighter admitted that the “big cheese yippee hurray young men” in whose organization he was captured, were his companions and that they had been showing him how to bring in speedy cash through cybercrime.
The counter join officer said that while the “young men” are individuals from Organized Cyber Criminal Syndicate Network, OCCSN, the women captured with them affirmed the inclusion of their “sweethearts” in web extortion.
Things recouped from the suspects incorporate precious stone gems, fascinating vehicles and costly telephones.
The presumes will be charged to court soon.
