OYOGist.com has learned that a Lagos state politician under the main opposition political party in the country, the Peoples Democrat Party (PDP) , Hon Adenike Agnes Shobajo, has appealed to party members to support her ambition to emerge the party’s senatorial candidate for the East Senatorial District by-election slated for October 31, even as she disclosed she sold her house in 2018,Daily Trust reports on Monday.
Speaking recently, the Peoples Democrat Party (PDP) chieftain recalled selling her house in 2018 located in Amuwo Odofin to contest for senatorial seat.
Shobajo, a public relations expert who would be contesting the senatorial ticket for the sixth time, wants her political party, the Peoples Democrat Party to give her the chance this time around.
She said she was denied the opportunity in the past through the primary election of the party which she called “a charade.”
The female politician explained that she is a devoted and committed PDP loyalist since 1998, who is still serving the party.
The Lagos East Senatorial seat became vacant following the death of Senator Bayo Osinowo of the All Progressives Congress (APC lin June due to Covid-19. As a result, several aspirants have emerged, who are now interested in the seat, both under the Peoples Democrat Party (PDP) and the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
