All eyes will be on Lionel Messi as Barcelona and Bayern Munich will confront each other in the Champions League to qualify for the last 4, and Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes that they have a defender who is capable of stopping the Barca talisman, oyogist.com reports.
19-year old Alphonso Davies is that defender who Rummenigge trusts to handle Messi and prevent him from constituting any threat in the game as he is with the impression that no player has dribble past the left-back this season.

There were concerns for Bayern when Alphonso Davies didn’t train with his teammates on Wednesday but it has now been reported that the Canadian youngster will play and he is ready to stop Messi.
Davies broke the fastest top speed record in Bundesliga history when he clocked 22.7mph in Bayern’s victory against Werder Bremen this season and Rummenigge is very confident that one player who Bayern will hand over Messi to is the pacy defender.
According to the Bundesliga official website, Rummenigge said: “It’s a difficult and interesting task. But we have a good ‘Messi stopper’. If Messi plays on his side, Alphonso will take care of him. He hasn’t really been outpaced or dribbled past this season.”
