The governor of Oyo state Gov. Seyi makinde has approved the re-modelling of Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Ibadan to International Standard.
The Hon.Commissioner for youth and Sport Asiwaju Arun Fakorede made this known, according to him ” This project is to make the sports Complex to be at per with other complexes internationally”.
He also said ” The project will commence with the Adamasigba Stadium” and state that this project is important for the growth and survival in oyo state.
He said in a Radio interview on fresh fm today that ” The Adamasigba Stadium will be renovation will be completed on or before 18 months and after the renovation they’re looking forward to host the super eagles of Nigeria and other international matches in the stadium”.
He also said again ” That shooting stars of Ibadan must return back to the NPFL next season, that it is the mandate of the state Governor and also reveals that the state government was paying their salaries while on Covid-19 enforced break, so there won’t be any excuse for not getting promotion next season”
