According to report reaching OYOGist.com, President Muhammad Buhari has approved the appointment of Senator Gbenga Ashafa as Managing Director Federal Housing Authority FHA and Honourable Abdulmumin Jibrin as Executive Director Business Development in charge of commercial, corporate & social housing with immediate effect.
Senator Gbenga Ashafa is a dedicated member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he was a two terms senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District at the National Assembly. He was later succeeded by late Senator Bayo Osinowo Pepperito at the Lagos East Senatorial District.
Honorable Abdulmumin Jibrin is a prominent and dedicated member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He hails from Kano State and represented the state at the Federal House of Representatives.
He was instrumental in the emergency of the Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila as the Speaker in 2019.
Honorable Jubril was later sacked by the Judiciary due to irregularities in the election that bought him to the house. The court ordered a rerun of the election.
Honorable Abdulmumin Jibrin lost the rerun election to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate. Jubril lost the election because the Kano State Governor, Umar Ganduje, was against him and worked against his victory.
Honorable Jubril had earlier kicked against the reelection of Umar Ganduje as the Governor of Kano State after a video of him receiving a kickback from contractors released online.
This was the main reason why the governor worked against his victory in the rerun election.
