The Edo State Governor His Excellency Godwin Obaseki was in Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital on a courtesy visit on the 2nd day of August 2020. They fellowshipped at the Apostolic church Obio Imo Street to thank God for the tenure of the past Chairman of PDP Obong Paul Politics Ekpo, oyogist.com reports.
The event was well attended with Governor Obaseki in attendance and Prince Uche Secondus also in attendance. Recall that since the return of democracy in 1999 in Nigeria, PDP has ruled Akwa Ibom for the past 21 years uninterrupted. This is due to the Sterling performances of the state executives.
Under the People’s Democratic Party Akwa Ibom State Chapter, the people have benefited state of the art projects like the 21 storey building, International Stadium, over 400 kilometers of dual carriages littered across the state and a host of other projects.
During yesterday church service, dignitaries took turns to acknowledge the effort of the Party in the development of the state. Prayers were also offered to the State Government, the coming elections in Edo and Ondo, as well as the LG elections coming up in October.
