The Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun has allegedly demanded for the sum of N25,000 COVID-19 test charges for students in private secondary schools in Ogun state ahead of August 4th, resumption date, oyogist.com reports.
Trouble started on Saturday when parents got to the COVID-19 testing laboratory centers in Ogun State and were made to pay N25,000 as charges before their children could be tested for the novel COVID-19 virus.
Recalled that the federal government had asked primary and secondary schools in the country to resume especially the students billed for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
However, Governor Abiodun ignored the residents plight in spite of the current economic challenges by demanding N25,000 from private school students before they could be tested for the virus.
