According to reports reaching oyogist.com, the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has said the N50m bounty placed on the state’s most wanted leader of a terrorist group, Terwase Akwaza, still stands.
The governor, who briefed journalists on Tuesday at the end of the state Security Council meeting, which he presided over, said his administration would make life unbearable for criminals.
The governor noted that intelligence gathering remained key to winning the war against criminals and commended security operatives in the state for their proactive and gallant efforts in ensuring peace.

Ortom said, “I want to reiterate that the N50m the government promised as reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the wanted man, Gana (Terwase Akwaza), still stands.”
The governor said the council took far reaching decisions that would help to end the pockets of land disputes involving some communities in the state.
