Super Eagles of Nigeria and Lille FC of France star Victor Osimhen’s former agent Jean-Gerard Benoit Czajka in a chat with newsmen revealed that his former client was not interested in joining any Italian football club because of the high level of racism in Italy, oyogist.com reports.
He further explained that the former Wolfsburg football club of Germany was forced to agree a deal with Napoli by Lille’s president who has a good relationship with Napoli FC president because of their friendship.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria striker is on the brink of completing a transfer to Napoli for a fee of 50 million euros plus a player, and a salary of four million euros net per season.
Osimhen’s contract talk with Napoli started by Benoit Czajka, before he was sacked few weeks ago after being criticized for selfish interest reason by Victor Osimhen.
When he was asked a question about Victor Osimhen’s movement to Italian serie A by France Football, Benoit Czajka said:
“Yes, and to be honest, Victor did not want to go to Italy. From the start, he has been stuck on the idea of playing in Serie A. He told me that racism issues scared him and that he didn’t feel it. He even told me in March-April: ‘I don’t want to go and play in Italy even if it’s for Juventus at €10 million (N5.3 billion) net per year’.”
Victor Osimhen is expected to join Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli in few days time, after the striker has agreed personal terms with the Italian serie A giants.
