According to report in Spain, Barcelona Midfielder Arthur Melo does not want to participate in the champions league after he has sealed a move to juventus before the season ended.
Arthur Melo felt he was pushed out of the club because he wasn’t ready to move away from the La Liga Giant. He said this before the transfer to juventus was confirmed “There are always speculations but honestly my idea is very clear, the only option that interests me is to continue in Barcelona,”
“I am very safe and calm. I feel very good here and I also thank the club and the coaching staff for their trust. That is another reason to be totally clear that my only wish is to continue.”
Since, the transfer to Juventus has been confirmed he only featured in the dying minutes of the 2-2 draw against celta Vigo, since then he didn’t feature for Barcelona till the season ended.
Reports says Melo is willing to force is way, so he won’t partake in Barcelona champions league round of 16 tie with Napoli at the Camp nou, which is Barcelona only trophy left to win. He felt he was pushed out and also neglected by the Coach Qique Setien.
If Arthur Melo leaves this compounds Barcelona woes because Champions league is the only trophy the have to win so they won’t go trophy less this season and they need the full complement of their squad to achieve this.
