According to report reaching OYOGist.com, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the recent attack on its members by thugs suspected to be members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Oba of Benin palace on Saturday.
The Chairman of the party’s National Campaign Council for Edo State Governorship Election, Governor Nyesom Wike, condemned the attack on PDP members including state governors entourage in Edo State on Saturday.
Wike said they will investigate the role played by certain individuals in the despicable attack on PDP members. The party is also looking into the roles played by one Kabaka in the attack against our entourage.
PDP also warned the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Pastor Ize Iyamu, that there is a limit of intimidation and the use of thugs in an election.
It said it is irresponsible for anyone to sponsor an attack on governors not to talk of the palace of the Oba of Benin.

The People’s Democratic Party flagged campaign for Godwin Obaseki as the Governor of Edo State on Saturday. The first place they visited was the palace of Oba of Benin in Benin were the PDP entourage was attacked by thousands of people waiting for them at the entrance of the palace, destroyed vehicles, and injured members of the party.
