OYOGist.com has learned that Matteo Guendouzi has been tipped to leave Arsenal in the mid-year for neglecting to “hunker down” after a spat with Mikel Arteta. The Frenchman conflicted with the Gunners manager during the club’s mid-season warm climate preparing camp in Dubai.

He’s since demonstrated an absence of development on the pitch when choking Brighton’s Neal Maupay and supposedly provoking Seagulls stars about the amount they acquire.

Guendouzi barely stayed away from a ban for putting his hands around Maupay’s throat, however, he hasn’t kicked a ball for Arsenal since the thrashing at the Amex Stadium.

Arteta has been coy on what’s in store for the youth, however ex-Arsenal forward Kevin Campbell figures it may be the stopping point for Guendouzi who currently earns £40,000 a week.

Campbell told GentingBet: “I feel that Guendouzi will leave the club this mid-year. Arteta has come in he’s set a great deal of disciplinary principles down.
