New photos released from the forests of Cross River State have shown the rarest gorillas 🦍 in the world.
Initially thought to have gone into extinction, these heavy mammals were caught by camera traps planted in Mbe Mountains.
The gorillas were rediscovered in the 1980s, after they have been presumed extinct. The infants seen with them shows that the animal, so rare that only 300 of them remain, are actually reproducing.
