Flamboyant suspected internet fraudster and former Dubai resident, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas popularly known has “Ray Hushpuppi” faces up to 20 years in prison when he’s convicted, OYOGist.com has gathered.
Hushpuppi was arrested along some of his co-conspirators, notably another accomplice known as “Woodberry” in the UAE by the FBI on the 10th of June.
He and his cohorts were extradited to the USA to face the charges of their alleged involvement in fraud allegations varying from business email compromise (BEC), hacking and scamming over 1.9 million victims.
The US Department of Justice released a statement that accused the suspected fraudster of conspiring to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from schemes such as computer intrusions, including a scheme to steal £100 million (approximately $124 million) from an unnamed English Premier League football club.

Hushpuppi was arraigned in a Chicago court on Friday (3rd of July), and could face up to 20 years in prison for his involvement in money laundry when convicted.
Hushpuppi is expected to appear in L.A to face charges next week.
