According to reports reaching OYOGist.com, Arsenal teenager and Brazilian, Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new long-term contract, securing his future with the club. This is coming after just 48 hours of fellow teenager, Bukayo Saka also signed a long term contract at the Emirates.
The Brazilian scored his first Premier League goal in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over West Ham United in December and has become the first teenager to score 10 goals in a single season for the gunners since Nicolas Anelka more than 20 years ago.
Martinelli is known for his speed, positional awareness, and goalscoring ability. He started his youth career in Corinthians from 2010-2014. He then moved to Ituano and spent four years at the club (2015-2019).
After a stellar season he had, he was invited to the Brazilian U 23 side in 2019 where he has made 2 appearances since then. The youngster has scored 10 goals in 26 appearances for the gunners this season since joining from Ituano last summer.
The 18 year old is currently out injured and won’t feature for the gunners when they square up against Wolves on Saturday.
