BREAKING: Nigeria records 790 COVID-19 cases, as new cases surge

COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Nigeria as the highest number of confirmed cases have been recorded on Monday, 1st of July, with 790 new cases.

The total confirmed cases have now reached 26,484 as the government has eased lockdown measures across the country.

406 cases were discharged on Monday, with 13 coronavirus-related deaths recorded. The total deaths now stand at 603, with 10,152 discharged.

The cases were recorded in the following states: Delta-166 Lagos-120 Enugu-66 FCT-65 Edo-60 Ogun-43 Kano-41 Kaduna-39 Ondo-33 Rivers-32 Bayelsa-29 Katsina-21 Imo-20 Kwara-18 Oyo-11 Abia-10 Benue-6 Gombe-4 Yobe-2 Bauchi-2 Kebbi-2
