Uche Nelo Umolu, a sexual consent activist has exposed Mayowa Balogun, a talent manager for allegedly recording the duo during a sexual encounter in 2018, with her consent, OYOGist.com reports.
Uche Nelo, founder of The Consent Workshop disclosed that she wasn’t ready to share her story but is however forced to after Mayowa Balogun, went on Twitter to share it first.
According to Uche Nelo, Mayowa did this “in order to disarm her” and take the power of the narrative from her.
The Consent Workshop is a place where young ladies and victims are encouraged to call out their abusers so other people will be made aware and the victims are helped to heal.

Uche Nelo said she was shocked and felt violated again when she saw Mayowa shared the story on social media, again, without seeking her consent of forgiveness before doing so.
She said she had to re-live memories of the whole incident play out in her mind and had to re-assess her feelings and reactions towards the incident while the helped other ladies heal from their own experiences. So, seeing Mayowa take that power away from her brought the pain to live in a different way.
Nelo mentioned that before Mayowa went on Twitter to share his confession and ask for forgiveness from Twitter users, he did not reach out to her, who he offended, to ask her forgiveness.
