Former Manchester United Goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has labelled The signing Of Odion Ighalo as “one of the most positive surprises ever”. The 31 year old has shone brightly since arriving on loan from Shanghai Shenhua in January Scoring four goals from eight competitive matches.
With the Corona virus pandemic halting Football Ighalo’s loan spell was supposed to end in may, but has now been extended till January 2021 to ensure he completes the current season.
“I think he has been one of the most positive surprises ever” Schmeichel told Newsmen. He has been a revelation at the club and everybody has come to like him.
“When you have that kind of personality someone who brings the laugh to the dressing room and not someone who is always grumpy”.
“He changes the day, and it’s what he’s done on the pitch that’s really surprised me”. It’s amazing that many people had doubt when it looked like he was gonna come but he has proved doubters wrong with his performance so far”
“Another thing for someone like him.l, All him all of his life he has always wanted to play for United, now that he has been cut short by circumstances beyond anyone’s Control, for why he’s doneil in the very few games he ended up playing, it would be heartbreaking if that is to stop”.
