Two children, a boy, 3 and a girl 4, have died after their father left them in his truck for five hours, OYOGist.com reports.
Their father, Dustin Lee Dennis, earlier called the police to report that his children were missing.
He later told the police that he took a nap after he returned with his children from a convenience store and when he woke, found the children on the floor of his truck before moving them into the living room.
The arrest report has it that the 31-year-old was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of second-degree murder, according to the arrest report.
“The children had not been checked on for nearly five hours during the time they were locked inside the vehicle.”
They had no previous medical conditions but the exact cause of death has not yet been released”
Dennis is being held in Tulsa County jail on a $750,000 bail.
To prevent heatstroke in children always ensure their temperature is normal and let them go indoor when they feel overheated.
