The Chinese construction company, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), announced the acceptance for its rehabilitation of Itakpe – Ajaokuta Rail Line construction, OYOGist.com has learnt.
The project includes the rehabilitation of the Itakpe – Ajaokuta Rail Line and construction of 12 Station Buildings and Permanent Way (Track Works) in Agbor Facility Yard.

The announcement was made via the company’s official social media account yesterday, 10th of June.
“Exciting news! Rehabilitation of Itakpe – Ajaokuta Rail Line, Construction of 12 Station Buildings and Permanent Way (Track Works) in Agbor Facility Yard has recently passed final acceptance.
“The successful completion of the project will significantly facilitate travel for local residents, provide a large number of employment opportunities for locals, and boost the industrialization and economic development in the towns along the route.
“Facing this critical period, every effort to prevent the spread of the pandemic and resumption of work in an orderly manner has been made. All hard work has paid off so far with the completion of all contents of the project, a result that has satisfied the locals.
“During the acceptance process, the owner – Federal Ministry of Transportation of Nigeria and the consulting company fully affirmed the construction quality of the project, and unanimously praised it as another landmark in the construction of the Nigerian railway,” the company wrote on Facebook.
