The flamboyant and lavish Instagram influencer, popularly known as Hushpuppi has allegedly been arrested by the Interpol over fraud and money laundry allegations, OYOGist.com has learned.
Hushpuppi, whose real names are Raymond Igbalodely claims he is a real estate broker.
The self-acclaimed “Billionaire Gucci Master” was allegedly arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the International Police (InterPol) for defrauding the American government of $36 million US dollars meant for the purchase of COVID-19 ventilators.
According to sources who claimed to be close to Huspuppi, he and one of his frields who is known as Woodberry were arrested together in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Tuesday night.
Sources claimed that the arrest was made around 2:00 am local Dubai time on Thursday.
Instagram Blogger, @Nurse_Ruthfunmi posted the video of Hushpuppi and Woodberry’s alleged arrest by the FBI and Interpol on Instagram earlier in the morning.

News of Hushpuppi and Woodberry’s arrest started circulating on social media, with some “insiders” giving updates on why he was arrested and when the arrest took place.
As of Wednesday, the 10th of June, Hushpuppi and Interpol are some of the top trending hashtags in Nigeria.
A clip of news anchors talking about Nigerian crime ring defrauding the US government of relief package monies and unemployment insurance programs was also circulating online as well.
The news report said the fraud runs into the tune of 100’s of millions of dollars.
OYOGist.com recalls that another Nigerian socialite and Instagram lifestyle influencer, Ismaila Mustapha, known as Mompha was also arrested for fraud in 2019.
