Oyo state government has announced that the COVID-19 confirmation tests for twenty-three suspected cases came back positive, oyogist.com reports.
Governor Seyi Makinde and the Head of the State’s COVID-19 taskforce stated this in a series of tweets on Tuesday morning.
The governor said the cases are from Ibadan South East (5), Lagelu (5), Oluyole (4), Ibadan North (2), Ido (2), Egbeda (2), Akinyele (1), Ona Ara (1) and Ibadan South West (1) Local Government Areas.
“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 387,” he tweeted.

The governor thanked the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for the donation of medical supplies and CACOVID and all other organisations and individuals who have continued the state’s efforts to contain COVID-19.
He, however, advised residents to call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800, if they noticed any COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, tiredness, body ache and shortness of breath.
