OYOGist.com has learned that after an online medium reported 64 bank accounts used to siphon public funds was linked to Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, yesterday faced a nine man fact finding panel headed by Hon. Victor Akande at the house chambers.
While defending all allegations, he said every fund approved from his office all followed due procedures and all allegations against him are unfounded. He mentioned that the cars procured for the principal officers of the house and other expenditures were all approved by the Fund Management Committee headed by him.
Obasa, while explaining the expenditure of N80m as estacode for the training of women in Dubai, said that wives of the 20 lawmakers attended the event and that he was there to declare the event open.

He said “we gave N4m to each of the participants for air ticket, hotels, feedings and local travel. Air ticket to Dubai alone cost about N2m. Some of these allegations were raised for a crusade to get the Speaker out of office.
Further speaking on the #80 million used to train the wives of lawmakers, he said education isn’t cheap and it is not to much to acquire the education they intended to get for lawmakers wives.
He concluded that all allegations against him were handiwork of his enemies who want him out of office and nothing more. He said anyone who has evidence of his misappropriation of funds should come out with evidence.
