The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has allegedly distributed the first set of digitized Certificate of Occupancy to successful applicants under the Oyo State Home Owners Charter (OYHOC) scheme; the event which took place at the Government House, Agodi Ibadan was done with strict adherence to COVID-19 safety measures.
While presenting the certificates to the beneficiaries, governor Makinde noted that the initiative came to fore after series of attempts by the previous administrations to issue a digitized Certificate of Occupancy failed.

In his speech, the state Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Barrister Abiodun Abdu-Raheem said 200 Certificate of Occupancy has been approved for the first set of beneficiaries and work has begun on the second batch of successful applicants.
