A yet-to-be-identified police officer yesterday shot, killed an innocent 16-Year-Old girl in Iyana oworo part of Lagos State.
According to reports reaching oyogist.com, the police officer was trying to arrest a driver for violating curfew rules and in the process was moved to shoot the driver but he missed and fired at the innocent 16-Year-Old girl who was around the place.
The victim who was identified as Tina was rushed to the hospital immediately but she died earlier today.
Several Nigerians have expressed their rage over the incident. A twitter User wrote;
16 year old Tina was shot by a policeman at Iyana oworo yesterday and died this morning , absolutely nothing has been done about this issue and lots are unaware. This is not the first time the Nigerian police has been trigger hungry and harmed innocent civilians #JusticeForTina
