OYOGist.com has learned that Manchester United have reportedly seal a deal with Italian defender Luca Ercolani. The defender signed a new one year contract with the Red Devils. He is one of the gems in United ranks and a versatile defender who can play as centre-back and a fullback.
The Italian defender is yet to feature for United’s first team but has represented country at youth level. Manchester United released an official statement on their website to announce the deal. “Manchester United have triggered a clause to extend Luca Ercolani’s contract by one year,” the club stated on their website.

“The defender, who has represented Italy’s Under-20 side five times, will remain under contract with the club until at least June 2021. Ercolani joined United in 2016 from Italian club Forli, following a successful trial at the Aon Training Complex. The 20-year-old Italian becomes the latest Under-23s defender to extend his stay with United following news of Max Taylor’s new deal last week.
“Throughout the Academy, players continue to work with coaching, education and player-care staff in order to continue their football development and support their mental well-being ahead of returning to training when it is appropriate to do so.”
