OYOGist.com has learned that Nigeria’s Super Eagles newly invited striker, Cyriel Dessers has reportedly said that he can not wait to link up with Lille forward, Victor Osimhen in attack for Nigeria.
The Heracles Almelo marksman, who saw his dream of making his international debut for Nigeria against Sierra Leone go up in smoke due to the pandemic outbreak, expressed that he can not wait to make his debut for Nigeria with versatile strikers like Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho.
“I know it’s a young team, a lot of players playing in Europe, so I think that the adaptation would be fine and I hope when I come into the team they accept me.”

“I am looking forward to seeing Victor Osimhen, I like to watch a lot of football and watch the strikers and I think he is a great striker, and I hope I can help him and support him,” Dessers said.
Recalling his moment of joy when Nigeria win third Nations Cup in 2013, Desser, who was a student of law at the University in Belgium, said “It was really special because at that moment I was in college studying. I wasn’t even a professional football player, I remember being so happy – with Mikel the captain, Emenike with the goals. It was a special moment for sure.”
Desser with 15 goals from 26 matches, finished the 2019-2020 season as the unofficial joint top scorer in the Dutch top league.
