Nigeria and Ujpest of Hungary midfielder Obinna Nwobodo has made it known to the newsmen that he wishes to represent Nigeria Super Eagles in the nearest future after excelling with the Nigeria youth team in 2015.
Nwobodo who played in Nigeria Premier league side Rangers International of Enugu before moving to Europe said he knows he have all it takes to and he is good enough for the National team of Nigeria. Nwobodo was among the Nigeria Flying Eagles that conquered Africa in the 2015 Confederation of Africa football Under 20, which Nigeria were coached by Manu Garba.
Nwobodo came back to limelight after scoring a goal in Ujpest 2-2 draw in a friendly match against the league rival MTK Budapest on Saturday. The midfielder was excited by the goal and he believed that it’s just a matter of time and his time will soon come in the national team.

In a chat with newsmen immediately after the match on Saturday, Nwobodo said: “I don’t want to talk much, but then I believed I am good enough for a national team call up because in the long run I am a Nigerian. The league here is very competitive”.
The highly rated midfielder continued by saying: “Therefore, I urge the coach to also come here and monitor us and then eventually give us also the chance to come and prove ourselves.” He concluded.
Nwobodo impressive performance in Hungary has caught the attention of a lot of European top teams but it’s not certain whether the former Flying Eagles star will leave Ujpest in the summer transfer window.
