Chelsea are looking to bolster their squad and the Blues are looking to bring in quality players that will enable Frank Lampard enforce his playing philosophy. On Frank Lampard’s wishlist is signing a goalscoring midfielder as the current crop of Chelsea midfielders have struggled to find the back of the net consistent. The Blues are now reportedly set to complete a swap deal to sign Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic Savic.
24-years old Sergej Milinkovic Savic is regarded as the Seria-A finest goalscoring midfielder and the Blues have been in pursuit to complete the signing of the Serbian international. Chelsea transfer chiefs have identified Savic as the type of player that will fit in seamlessly into Frank Lampard’s style.
Savic has been a major part of this highflying Lazio side that were on the verge of composting for the the Italian title before Football was placed on a hold. His impressive performances for Lazio has caught the attention of Chelsea as well as Manchester United and PSG as a host of top clubs are scrambling for his signature.

However, Chelsea are well clear in the race to sign the midfielder as the Blues are looking to use Lazio’s interest in Tiemoue Bakayoko to Complete a swap deal. Lazio have shown interest in signing Chelsea’s outcast Bakayoko and Chelsea will now propose a deal that will see Bakayoko join Lazio in a player plus cash deal.
Bakayoko flopped for Chelsea but he impressed in his season long loan at AC Milan and has interested Lazio. Lazio are likely to accept a Bakayoko plus cash deal from Chelsea as the Italian Club will not need to look for a replacement for Savic.
Savic will be a massive addition to the Blues as he will bring in massive quality and goals from midfield which the likes of Kovacic, Kante and Jorginho are lacking. Chelsea are building a massive squad and the signing of Savic will be a step in the right direction for the Blues.
