The Honorable Commissioner for Environment, Kehinde Ayoola, has been confirmed dead on Thursday, after His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor broke the news of his passing on Twitter, OYOGist.com reports.
The Commissioner was said to have died in the morning, as reported by the Governor. He was 55.
“I received with deep sadness, the news of the death of my dear friend and colleague, Rt. Honourable Kehinde Ayoola. Up until his death this morning, he served as the Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in Oyo State,” Governor Seyi Makinde tweeted on Thursday afternoon.
The cause of his death is yet to be disclosed as at the time of filing this report.
