OYOGist.com has learned that the Lagos State Government have said that with the current trend, the COVID-19 cases in Lagos State was expected to reach its peak.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, said that projecting that the coronavirus pandemic in the state may explode to 120,000 cases by July or August.
Speaking on Friday, the Lagos State Health Commissioner said that the state is likely to record between 90,000 and 120,000 cases of the Corona Virus pan within the period.

Abayomi said with the current trend the COVID-19 cases, the state which recorded the highest case was expected to reach its peak by the time stipulated.
The government, according to the health commissioner, said if not been proactive, the state government would have by now recorded 6,000 cases rather than the 1,491 cases declared so far. Lagos State currently has 1,491 confirmed Coronavirus cases, according to the NCDC.
