COVID19: Oyo State records 2 new positive cases

The Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has announced on Sunday, 3rd of May 2020, that there are 2 new confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in the state, OYOGist.com has learned.

The Governor shared this in a Twitter update on the State COVID-19 Task Force for the previous day, Saturday (2nd of May, 2020).

He revealed that the 2 new cases are from Ibadan, the state’s capital.

“We have received more results from pending COVID-19 confirmation tests. The results of two suspected cases came back POSITIVE, today. Both cases are from Ibadan,” Governor Seyi Makinde tweeted.

“This brings the number of active cases in Oyo State to 22. 171 out of the 300 pending results have now been processed and more are being expected.”
