With the borders of the country closed to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country, and interstate travels banned, Oyo State still managed to receive 6 Togolese nationals who came into the state with COVID-19, OYOGist.com is aware.
The Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, revealed this during his May 1st, 2020 Oyo State Covid-19 Task Force Update when he declared that there were 8 new COVID-19 positive results on Friday.
“Another eight tests came back positive today. Of the eight newly confirmed cases, six are Togolese nationals and the remaining two are Oyo State residents in Ogbomoso,” Governor Seyi Makinde announced on Friday.
