OYOGist.com has learned that the Zamfara police command has confirmed the death of 10 passengers in a road accident that also injured 45 others, which occoured along kasuwar daji-gusau road of zamfara state. These where made known to newsmen on Sunday In a statement by the public relation officer of the command, SP Muhammad shehu.
“with all sadness and sorrow, the zamfara police command wishes to announce the death of 10 passengers following their involvement in a fatal motor vehicle accident along kasuwar daji-gusau road.
This sad inccident occoured on the 18th of April, at about 9pm, when a trailer conveying passengers and good’s from kasuwar Daji market got involved in a devastating accident, resulting to the death of 10 passengers and injuring 45 others.

According to Mr shehu, the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the mortuary of the federal Medical Center, in gusau, The same hospital where the injured are been treated. Mr shehu made it known that the corpse of the deceased would be handed over to their relatives for proper burial, he also added that investigation into the cause of the accident has commenced.
The command has also appealed to the public, especially drivers, to refrain from reckless driving, that any any one caught in such would be arrested.
