Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has revealed that he has donated his blood to be used for research into the COVID-19 virus, OYOGist.com has learned.
Governor Seyi Makinde revealed that his government has been an advocate for local solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic in Oyo State, and being a survivor himself, has decided to volunteer to donate his blood to be studied by experts who are carrying out research on the pandemic.
“I volunteered to donate my blood to be studied by our experts researching on the ‘Evaluation of Post Infection Protection Against SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) in Nigeria.’,” Seyi Makinde shared on his official Twitter page on the 15th of April, 2020.
OYOGist.com recalls that Governor Seyi Makinde yesterday, announced the drive/walk-through initiative to test 2,000 cases in Oyo State, a program that was launched in partnership with the private sector.
