Chelsea are interested in bring former Barcelona goalkeeper Andre Onana to Stamford Bridge in the summer. The current Ajax Amsterdam number 1 has been impressive since moving to Eredivisie and was nominated alongside Liverpool’s Alisson Becker and Barcelona’s Marc Andre Ter Stegen for the best goalkeeper in Europe last season.
Chelsea are looking for a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga who lost his place to Willy Caballero this season. Onana has been identified as a perfect replacement for the Spaniard but face strong competition from La Liga giants Barcelona.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper spent some time with the Catalans after joining the La Masia setup at a very young age before switching sides.
In an interview with Canal+ Sport Africa, Onana responded to rumours linking him back to Spain and he claimed Barcelona is his home.
“It’s difficult to know. Barcelona is my home and, if I have to go back, I’ll go back,” he said.
“But we’re far off from that. I’m the Ajax goalkeeper and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.”
