Super Eagles new boy Cyriel Dessers has said the Belgium national team are not happy with his decision to play for Nigeria super eagles ahead of the Belgium Red Devils, but he said nothing can change his decision.
Dessers is eligible to play for Nigeria and Belgium national teams but he chose to represent Nigeria super eagles ahead of the Red Devils of Belgium.
Dessers was born in Belgium 25 years ago to Nigerian father and Belgian mother and he has spent much of his life in Belgium, the Heracles Almelo striker has said he can’t wait to wear the Green-White-Green Jersey.
“I have had more reactions from the Belgian angle. That it is a pity that I will not come to Belgium, but I was not concerned with the Red Devils.”

Dessers continued by saying: he’s eager to come to his fatherland to learn more Yoruba language in Lagos from his uncles because his father his a Yoruba man.
“I can’t wait to visit Nigeria and get to learn more Yoruba from my uncles. “
He concluded by saying: He’ll make sure he learn Yoruba Language even though the official Language in Nigeria is English.
“I am certainly going to do that. English is the official language, also in the team.”
Dessers was among the newly invited players to the super eagles by Gernot Rohr to face Sierra Leone national team in the Africa cup of nations double header qualifiers that supposed to take place last month and early this month before it was postponed till further notice because of the Coronavirus pandemic that has been affecting the whole world.
