Former Big Brother Africa housemate and co-host of Jara, Uti Nwachukwu has reacted to the ordeal Funke Akindele is currently going through over her arrest for hosting a party.
OYOGist recalls that Funke Akindele has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Ogba Lagos for breaching the Lagos Infectious Diseases Control Regulations 2020 act.
Recall that Funke Akindele was arrested by the Police on Sunday for hosting a birthday party for her husband amidst the lockdown and no gatherings law in Lagos State.
The lockdown was instituted by the Federal Government to curb the spread of the Coronavirus in the state.
Uti Nwachukwu condemned Nigerians for clamoring for Akindele’s arrest by the government and implored the Governor of Lagos State to release the couple and charge them a fine.
“NIGERIA: the same ones screaming I love u! The same ones Begging you for help , the same ones admiring you ARE THE SAME PEOPLE That clamour for your persecution at the slightest misstep🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️,” Uti Nwachukwu posted on Instagram after news broke that Akindele and her husband have been arraigned in court.
