The Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Gover Seyi Makinde has just announced that his Coronavirus test has returned negative the second time, after going into isolation following a positive test, OYOGist.com reports.
The Governor had tested positive to Coronavirus on the deadly virus on the 30th of March, 2020 after coming in contact with a subject who tested positive to the Coronavirus at the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting attended by Governors in Abuja.
The Governor broke the good news on his social media account on the night of Sunday, 5th of April, 2020, 6 days after announcing his initial status.
“I an deeply moved by your prayers and support throughout this period. I am so thankful,” Seyi Makinde posted on Instagram.
“This evening, I received my second negative test result for COVID-19. I especially thank Prof Temitope Alonge, who acted in my stead as the Head of Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force”
