OYOGist.com has learned that the Oyo State Command of Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN) on Monday, sensitized the residents of the state on the need to embrace hygienic habits and observe precautionary measures in order not to contract the deadly Coronavirus, codenamed COVID-19.
The officers, who moved round the state capital of Ibadan, spent some hours at the State Secretariat, where sanitizers were given to motorists and passers-by.

The sensitization exercise which was led by the state Commandant, Patriot Lukman Yekini Adelowo and other members of the State Executive Council toured numerous places , including markets and shopping malls.

The Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mrs. Funmi Orisadeyi , was among the passers-by given the sanitizers.
Pensioners and old people were not left out. They were enthusiastic to listen to the Commandant and receive hygienic consumables from the executive members of the command.
Speaking on the dreaded pandemic, the state Commandant, Patriot Lukman Yekini Adelowo, emphasized that Coronavirus would not find its place where proper hygiene is observed.
Against this backdrop,the security chief urged Nigerians to wash their hands frequently with soap, avoid touching their face, maintain social distance and avoid self-medication.
