The Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde has expressed his gratitude towards the people of Oyo State and Nigerians for showing him support as he fights coronavirus.
OYOGist.com recalls that Governor Seyi Makinde reported that he tested positive for coronavirus on the 29th of March, 2020 after his test result came back positive to the novel coronavirus disease.
Seyi Makinde later revealed on the 31st of March how he was exposed to the disease and what steps he took afterward.
“I am overwhelmed by your good wishes and prayers. Thank you, everyone,” Seyi Makinde shared.
“I am known as a long-distance runner. If I can outrun and outlast the virus, which I am sure, by God’s grace, I will do, so also will many of our people in Oyo State.
“I urge our people to keep following the directives of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force.”
