Coronavirus in China

The Chinese government has announced its plan to lift a lockdown on Wuhan a major city in Hubei Province, where the coronavirus outbreak started from, and the city with the most recorded cases of the virus, reports reaching OYOGist.com confirmed.

As the rest of the world continues to go into lockdown, China has seen a drastic reduction in the number of new cases of the coronavirus infection and has begun the process to lift a lockdown placed on one of its major cities where the outbreak started.

This is coming two months after the Chinese authorities placed a lockdown on the city at the center of China’s coronavirus outbreak that has disrupted the entire world.

This also gives hope that, while the pandemic may change how we live forever, it will soon come to an end.

The authorities of Hubei Province have announced that travel restrictions on the capital city of Wuhan will be lifted starting from the 8th of April, 2020, bringing to an end a lockdown that started on January 23, 2020.

Currently, the World Health Organization, (WHO) has recorded more than 370,000 cases of the coronavirus with over 16, 000 deaths in 196 countries.
