Akin Alabi thus joins the fray of high net-worth Nigerians who have embarked on one level of financial give-away or the other since the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus epidemic hit Nigeria.
The Federal Lawmaker made the announcement on his Twitter handle this Monday afternoon saying, ‘’After the relief package we distributed recently, I want to go further by giving out N2.5m to twitter users that live in my constituency, Egebda/Ona-Ara, Oyo state. Post your name and area, I will follow you here and DM you on how to get your money. #StaySafe #AkinMeansBusiness

He however warned his followers not to drop account details as the money is given physically.
To this end he said, ‘’Please do not drop account details. The money is given physically. Kindly follow instructions. Someone credited one of the accounts N10. I don’t know the aim. Maybe fraud. Maybe they want to come out with fake news that I’m giving people N10. Grinning face’’.
