Host of NBC’s Ellen Show, Ellen Degeneres, on Monday talked about the shocking news of Kobe Bryant’s death, through tears.
“Thank you for being here. I appreciate it today, more than ever, more,” Ellen told her audience before going ahead to explain why she’s so appreciative of her audience.
“…I will appreciate it more tomorrow that I did yesterday, because life is short.” She said.
She then went on to talk about how the show is prerecorded a week prior and how during Sunday’s Grammy Award Show, she was shocked to hear of the news of Kobe’s passing.
Ellen told her audience to celebrate life and not take the people around them for granted.
“And if you haven’t told someone you love them, do it now,” she said.
“Tell people you love them. Call your friends. Text your friends. Hug them. Kiss them.”
