It’s a sad day as American NBA icon, Kobe Bryant, is killed together with his daughter, 13, and 7 seven others in a helicopter crash at Calabassas, California on Sunday 26 January 2020.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Lakers NBA legend, Kobe Bryant lost his life on Sunday in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.
His oldest daughter, Gianna Gigi Bryant, a 13-year-old was in the helicopter when the accident occurred, TMZ says.
According to the report by TMZ, Kobe and Gianna were traveling to the Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks, California to take part in basketball practice when the accident happened.
It was confirmed that the two of them and seven others lost their lives in the accident. Another player and their parent were involved in the crash.
The report claims that Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, was not in the vehicle when the crash occurred.
American columnist and ESPN Journalist Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed the report.
According to reports, weather visibility was the cause of the crash.
“There was extremely low visibility during the time of the crash and the weather conditions were fobby and cloudy with a drizzle,” reports CNN Meteorologist Michael Guy.
Kobe Bryant was respected in other areas aside sports as well. He showed abundant love to his family, the black community and the entertainment industry.
