The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Just announcement the suspension of the rule that requires candidates to possess a National Identity Number (NIN) as a requirement for registration for the 2020 UTME examination.
According to TheNationOnline, the announcement of the suspension was made by JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haw Oloyede during a briefing at the JAMB’s HQ in Bwari, Abuja on Saturday, 11 January 2020.
The Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission, Aliyu Aziz, was also part of the briefing.
This is a relief to some parents and candidates who may have been at the risk of missing the opportunity to sit the examination due to inability to get their wards a NIN.
