President Muhammadu Buhari, today 12 December, 2019, at the Aswan Forum in Egypt announced that Nigeria will start issuing Visa to Africans on arrival.
The president announced that all persons carrying African passports on them will receive Visa into Nigeria on the entry port.
This move is in an effort to create a one-African trade union that encourages free movement of goods and persons within the continent.
The president said, on Twitter that, “Nigeria is committed to supporting the free movement of Africans within Africa. Yesterday at the Aswan Forum in Egypt I announced that, in January 2020, we will commence issuance of visas at the point of entry into Nigeria, to all persons holding passports of African countries“
