Today 31 December 2019, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the passage of the 2020 budget into law.
The budget is a sum of N1.168 trillion naira. This is the first budget of the Sanwo-Olu administration.
The Governor while making that announcement on Twitter said, “I signed the N1.168tn 2020 Lagos Budget into law today. This is a bold move in our determination to deliver a greater Lagos.
“This is the first budget prepared by our administration and it demonstrates our tenacity to the vision of achieving the Lagos of our dreams.
“I acknowledge our legislators for the speedy passage of this budget and this goes to show that cooperation between the executive and legislative arms of government is essential to building a greater Lagos.
