The popular night club located at Ozumba Mbadiwe drive in Victoria Island, belonging to a member of House of Representative, honorable Shina Peller has been sealed off by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency.
It was reported that party-goers and motorists that parked along the Ozumba Mbadiwe drive of the Quilox club were also arrested by the police officers attached to the agency.
Shina Peller, in an attempt to bail out his customers from the custody of the police, also got arrested and has since been held in the custody of the Lagost State police force.
A colleague of the Honourable member, Hon. Akin Alabi, the founder of popular online sports betting platform Nairaland, tweeted out in solidarity to his colleague who was arrested by the police.
“So founder of Quilox and House of Representatives member, @ShinaPeller went to bail his customers that were illegally arrested… then the police at Maroko police station detained him as well. Police brutality knows no status.” Akin Alabi shared on Twitter.
“We are on our way to Panti. First of all, the cars of the customers were towed and [seized] for violating traffic(sic). FINE. But they were arrested and told to pay N100,000 bribe. Why on earth do you need to pay the police a bribe after your car has already been [seized]. (sic)” Akin further shared on Twitter.
